FOREWORD:

This policy has been formulated through discussion with members from all groups within the school community.  It represents consensus agreement between those groups to enable students at Wyrallah Road Public School to interact in a safe and happy environment.

The document addresses the following areas:-

  1. Values, acceptable behaviours and school community beliefs

  2. School rules

  3. Positive actions for student behaviour / effort / achievement

  4. Sanctions for inappropriate behaviour

Thanks are extended to the many people who gave time and effort to develop this Policy.

Children should:-

  •  Be trustworthy

  •  Be co-operative

  •  Be honest

  •  Be considerate

  •  Use appropriate language

  •  Uphold the school values

  •  Children to have a safe environment in which to learn

  •  Teachers to have the right to teach

  •  Sharing the responsibility not to prevent others from learning
